With Christmas over myself and 3 of the lads decided to head to Mont Tremblant for a week of Skiing, Snowboarding and of course drinking. We left on early on Boxing day (ST Stephens day for you Irish) and took the 6.5 hour drive to Mont Tremblant. After arriving late afternoon we decided that a drink was in order, having booked a chalet just out of town we decided to take a walk up the road to see what we could find. Half n hour later and freezing cold we stumbled across a cozy little ski lodge with lots of beer and an open fire!

The first day up on the slopes was a learning experience for all. Not only getting back on the board or Skis for the first time in a long time but also to battle the -18 degrees at the summit and howling winds that came close to blowing me off the mountain. Needless to say there were plenty of falls, mostly on mine and Mick's part. The following days proved to warm up significantly and as did the skill level of the riders :)

After a couple of days of hitting the slopes and hitting the beer pretty hard it was time to just chill out in front of the fire place at home and take it easy.

Thursday was one of the best days on the mountain. A lovely -5 and sunny. There was a bit of ice but was by far my best day on the board, very few falls and actually got off the ski lift with out falling! Of course the Apres Ski were also once again very good!

New years eve was spent in La Diable once again. We got there fairly early and got seats right at the bar, as the place started to fill up we decided we were best to stay there for the rest of the night. The count down was a little disappointing as it was done 2 minutes early but hey we all cheered and and happy new year'd our selves out. Over all is was a fun night, only disappointing that all 8 cabs that service the area (thats 8 actually cabs not 8 companies) were obviously all busy. So after taking a nap on the couch at the Westin Hotel I woke up at 4:30am and was finally offered a ride home by the concierge!

Of course after very little sleep the night before the drive home wasn't all that enjoyable but we made it back to Toronto to begin 2011 with weary bodies but lots of smiles and stories of the week in Mont Tremblant!
