Survived My First Canaidan Winter!!!

I've now been living in Canada for 9 months!! Where did the time go? I have also successfully survived my first Canadian winter. Canadians them selves celebrate and rejoice in the fact that they have survived another brutal winter, but for me it's quite an achievement to have lived through my first ever 4 months stint of sub minus temperatures and mountains of snow and ice. To be honest it was fun at the beginning but really I much prefer the sun and the beach. Now the temps are starting to rise we've had a few days around 12 and 10 degrees so I guess we can say Summer is on the way!!

I haven't posted since Christmas, so I will give a quick recap of whats been going on. Work, work, hibernation, a few beers with mates, work, a basketball game, more hibernation and more work! Yay exciting life here in the winter time. Since I have been working lots I must say that it has been worth it the Gym is coming along really well and is continuously growing, which is what we want. I was also lucky enough to go to Arizona in February for Dance training (hahaha, I know sounds a bit crazy but the dance program at The Little Gym is quite different to other dance programs so we need special training) Which was great because I finally got to go to Little Gym HQ! And to Warm and Sunny Arizona. Unfortunately I did not get to see much of Phoenix but I can confirm there are a lot of Cacti!

Well I've posted some pictures below of a few things that have gone on over the last few freezing months. Roll on Summer roll on!!

St Patrick's Day Drinks with Ashley and Tomas....

Toronto Raptors V Detroit Pistons NBA game at the ACC (Air Canada Centre) where the Hockey is usually played, the basketball court is normally a ice rink! Was a good game went into over time but Raptors lost (like most Toronto sports teams they aren't that good) But was awesome to go watch and due to connections at the ACC (aka security dude Luc) we got down court side and a photo with the famous Raptor!!

Me and Kristen with the best mascot in the league!

A cheer leaders bum! ha-ha along with the chaos that is court side.

Kristen with a very concerned Raptors fan behind her.

The guys we came to see play!

Of course we had to check out the court before the game could begin!

The Little Gym Head Quarters are in Scottsdale, Phoenix Arizona. Having worked for The Little Gym now in both Kuwait and Canada I was VERY excited to actually get down to HQ and meet some of the Bees Knees down there and take part in some "official" training. Have to say the trip although short was well worth it. Made me love The Little Gym even more hahaha. Gary (my boss) and I were taken through our paces in Tap and Ballet but we also managed to take a drive and get some pics of some cacti.

Gary working on his second position.

Working on his turns....

Ha-ha love that pointed toe!

Concentrating hard on my leaning my Tap!

Cacti line the streets in this part of the world!
