Fall Photos and Thanksgiving!

Ladies and Gentleman I have a confession to make, a horrible problem I have picked up in just this last month that I really feel I should confess. Now I understand if you all think that I should seek some help and to be honest I really think I should to because I really think I am going mad. You see in this past month I can not seem to stop taking photos of trees!! Yes Trees!! Madness I know! Normally I wouldn't give a hoot about horticulture but you see folks since summer has faded and we have entered Autumn the trees have just started look so unreal. Some are so bright with red and oranges they look like they are on fire, and others are a lovely soft yellow that captures the sunlight as the leaves fall from the trees. It's just beautiful. Now I know some of you are used to this yearly event but you see for me having lived my life for as long as I can remember in places that generally have two seasons, either wet and dry or hot and cold, this transformation that takes place when the trees change colour has just had me snapping at all sorts of trees in all sorts of places. God only knows how I will be when it starts snowing! So I should warn you now that before to long you will get lots of photos of snow and slush! I have curved this posting to only a few pictures of trees so not to bore you to death but seriously the whole city looks so different now that it's worth taking a pic!

I have also posted some picutes of the lovely thanksgiving I had with my Canadian family the Coones's. They have been wonderful in welcoming me into their flock and have shown me the fun side of the traditional turkey diner that comes along at this time of year. Not to mention the loads of wine that must accompany the meal! Halloween is the next event coming up so I will keep you posted on some no doubt crazy photos to come!

The big tree I pass every day on the way to the subway.

Turkey Legs!

It's normal, apparently, to have big pumpkins sitting in your living room at this time of year!

The deboned turkey when it just came out of the oven...YUM!

To suplement my obsession with taking photos of trees I have also been crazy with taking photos of squirrels!

This is the only Castle in Toronto, it is called Casa Loma and was built by one of the Niagara hydro electric tycoons who decided that although he wasn't royalty he deserved a castle. After living in it for 11 years or so the family went broke and had to sell it. It's now a popular place for weddings, partys and tourists like me!

A squirrel on the front steps of St James Cathedral. Tehehehehe...

Hockey season has just started and let me tell you Canadian's are nuts about their hockey! They even have this temple dedicated to it.
