Dave and I out the front of PNC Park In Pittsburgh!So the last few weeks have been something of a whirl wind. From finally getting out of Kuwait to complete and utter drunken debauchery in Pittsburgh to flying half way round the world to Hong Kong, where I got straight off a plane and went to work only to hear a few hours later that it wasn't going to work out! Apparently I am to fat to work for their organisation! So rather than stick around and be ridiculed even further, I flew another 7 hours to Brisbane to come home! Wow! Being home is a little strange, its nice to be here the weather is perfect and so far have managed to have a few wines and good laughs with friends. But it still feels a little surreal. I am not sure how long I will be back a few months I guess I really don't know what to do....but never mind all that lets talk about Pittsburgh and what a bloody laugh it was.
What can I say I was very impressed with the friendliness shown to me by the citizens of the US of A not to mention the hospitality displayed by the lads of Pittsburgh. I did all the typical American things like go to a baseball game, had lunch at Hooters (much to Loz's discuss), visited plenty of other seedy bars and of course drank shit loads of beer. Oh and of course the reason for being there (other than catching up with Robb and the boys of course) was to see Ben Harper which was just outstanding. He is amazing live and it was a very beautiful concert in a very beautiful theater and I am truly glad I was able to see him perform, despite the fact I had flown thousands of miles to do so :)
it was an absolutely fantastic week however, thanks to Dave and Gil for being such wonderful hosts and to Josh and Robb for keeping me so entertained. I have posted up the photos below...enjoy. I guess the Ramblings will be on hold for a little while until I work out where this Little Rooster is going to next but don't worry I shall certainly let everyone know if anything exciting comes up....till then...
